New appointment in Catholic Diocese of Christchurch

New appointment: Andy Doherty – General Manager, Catholic Diocese of Christchurch
The Catholic Diocese of Christchurch has appointed Andy Doherty as General Manager.
Answerable to the Bishop, his areas of responsibility cover the rebuild of Diocesan properties following the earthquakes including the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, finance, education, pastoral services and the Catholic Development Fund.
Doherty, a graduate of Canterbury University, was Chief Executive of Pacific Wide (NZ) Ltd and previous to that Group Chief Executive Officer of Southern Hospitality Ltd. He takes up his position on November 16.
