New deputy chair for Audit and Risk Committee
Auckland Council’s Audit and Risk Committee today appointed Paul Conder as its deputy chairperson.
He was elected unopposed to the role, following Councillor Cathy Casey’s decision to step down from the committee earlier in the year.
Mr Conder has been an independent member of the committee since 2014 and is also currently the interim Chief Financial Officer at Hamilton City Council.
Committee chairperson Councillor Bill Cashmore says that Mr Conder brings a wealth of experience to the role.
“I would like to welcome Paul to the role of deputy chair, his knowledge, experience and expertise will no doubt be a real benefit to the Audit and Risk committee, and a great help to myself as chairperson,” he says.
Councillor Linda Cooper has been made a member of the committee, filling the position vacated by Councillor Casey.
