"Police release the names of young men killed in Muriwai beach crash "

Police are now able to release the names of the four young men killed in last night’s crash on Muriwai Beach.

Police have also clarified the ages and nationalities of the victims and can confirm them as the following;

1. Mr Syed JAFRI, aged 29 years old, a New Zealand resident, born in Pakistan.

2. Mr Dilpreet SINGH, aged 32 years old, a New Zealand resident, born in India.

3. Mr Imad DIB, aged 31 years old, a Lebanese national holding a work visa.

4. Mr Pulkit MALHOTRA, aged 27 years old, a recently arrived visitor to New Zealand from India.

The families of the four men have requested privacy.

They are being assisted at this difficult time by Police and Victim Support.
