Local Housing Rise Bonus for Wellington Home & Garden Show
Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Regional Director, Euon Murrell, believes that the Wellington housing market is on the rise.
“Real estate sales in the region were up for June, July and August, reflecting the national trend, which the REINZ expects to continue. Value for money and the ongoing availability of inexpensive finance will continue to give impetus to the market, not withstanding doubts about the worldwide economy, which is also likely to steer investment money into bricks and mortar. All this augurs well for Wellington home owners”, Mr. Murrell said.
Daniel Joll, show director of the Wellington Home & Garden Show, the region’s largest and longest-running home show, believes that this is good news for the event.
“Kiwis love their homes and we’re expecting a huge turnout from visitors when the show kicks off on Friday 25th, as they look to improve what they have or settle into a new property. It’s the only home show in Wellington this spring-summer and the Westpac Stadium will be packed with over 220 exhibitors showcasing the latest ideas, trends, products and massive show-only specials. It makes it so easy for show visitors because everything is under the one roof”, Mr. Joll said.
“The show also opens in perfect time to provide Wellingtonians with all the inspiration, advice and products they need to crack into their spring home improvement projects. Plants, kitchens, bathrooms, spa pools, outdoor furniture, lighting and solar solutions will all be on display, plus everything in between. We also think that the chance to win a $25,000 custom-designed kitchen package from Palazzo Kitchens & Appliances, will be a real drawcard.”, Mr. Joll said.
