All Blacks and Australian Sevens teams in action in Rotorua this weekend
The All Blacks Sevens and Australian Sevens teams have been training at Rotorua International Stadium this week in preparation for a three-day series to provide important match practice leading up to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
One of the Sevens teams’ matches at Rotorua International Stadium is the curtain raiser for the Bay of Plenty Steamers’ ITM Cup fixture against Taranaki on Saturday (12 September).
Kick-off for the Steamers’ ITM Cup fixture is at 5.35pm with the All Blacks vs Wallabies sevens curtain raiser game at 4.30pm. Tickets for adults are $20, children $5, under 5s free, and can be purchased from the Rotorua i-SITE, online from www.boprugby.co.nz and at the stadium gate on match day.
Rotorua rugby fans also have the rare chance of watching two of the world’s top Sevens teams in action for free. Free entry is being offered for the All Blacks Sevens versus Australian Sevens’ other matches on Sunday (13 September) at 1.30pm and 6pm, and on Monday (14 September) at 3pm at 7pm.
