Aggravated Robbery - Christchurch
At approximately 6pm on Monday 31st August 2015, Christchurch Police were called to a report of a robbery at the Little Street Dairy on Hoon Hay Road.
Two offenders have entered the dairy and demanded cash and cigarettes.
One of the offenders was brandishing a pistol and threatening the store staff with it.
They were confronted by the staff, and after a struggle, left the dairy empty-handed.
A short time later, at approximately 6.15pm, police were called to another robbery of a dairy on Selwyn Street.
The offenders made off with a small amount of tobacco and a small sum of cash. There are similarities between the two offences and police investigators are working on clarifying whether both have been committed by the same offenders.
Police ask anyone with information on either of these two robberies to contact the Christchurch Police or report their information anonymously through www.crimestoppers-nz.org.
