Stabbing - Hamilton - Waikato

This afternoon, Hamilton Detectives continue with the scene examination of an address on Victoria Street where a
stabbing occurred today about 1120 am.
ESR scientists will assist police determine what occurred at the location. The 54 year male victim sustained a number of
cuts and wounds and is currently in Waikato Hospital where he underwent surgery today. A 53 year old Hamilton woman was
arrested at the scene and she will appear in the Hamilton District court on Monday. Detective Senior Sergeant Ross
PATTERSON said that the prompt action by attending police staff ensured the victim had the urgent care he needed until
ambulance staff arrived.
