Taramakau Bridge cycle clip-on contract awarded to Fulton Hogan
The NZ Transport Agency’s cycling and walking clip-on contract for the Taramakau Bridge, between Greymouth and Kumara
Junction, has been awarded to Fulton Hogan.
The cycling clip-on should be in place by Christmas with work starting within the next month, said Pete Connors,
Transport Agency Regional Performance Manager.
The cost of construction is about $1 million.
The much safer route across the bridge will be on the downstream side, towards the sea, aligning with the existing cycle

Once the new Taramakau Bridge is built, the clip-on will be relocated to another bridge with a need for safe pedestrian
and cycling access.
