20 July 2015

Make a Beeline for Hollard Gardens

A free public workshop covering the basics of domestic beekeeping is sure to create a buzz at Hollard Gardens in Kaponga on Sunday (26 July).

Aimed at home gardeners, the workshop will include tips on getting started, the tools required, looking after hives and caring for bees. It will run from 2pm to 4pm at Hollard Gardens, 1686 Upper Manaia Road, Kaponga.

Sunday’s workshop is part of a year-round programme of free public events at Hollard Gardens, Pukeiti and Tupare, the three heritage properties owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the people of the region.

For more information, see www.hollardgardens.info, www.pukeiti.org.nz and www.tupare.info. Social media users can also follow the Taranaki Regional Council gardens on Facebook (TaranakiRegionalGardens) and Twitter (@TaranakiRG).
