Creative Communities funding opens
Cultural and artistic groups and individuals are invited to apply for funding through the Creative Communities Palmerston North Local Arts Funding Scheme.
The scheme aims to increase access and participation in the arts through the support of local arts activity. It looks for projects that meet at least one of three criteria: Community Participation, Diversity or Young People
“We always get a fascinating mix of projects”, says Community Liaison team leader Peter Grey. “There’s no shortage of talent or creative ideas in Palmy and it’s great to be able to help some of those ideas come to life”
Applications close at 4pm on Monday 3 August and application forms are available from:
pncc.govt.nz
• By calling Council on 356 8199
• Council's Customer Service Centre – Square-side
• Community Living Rooms – libraries
Successful applicants from the previous round included a Manawatū Embroiderers exhibition, Short Plays from Skin Theatre, a concert by Palmerston North Brass Band and a series of film workshops for young people.
