Ohakune Mardi Gras announces line-up + tickets on sale today!

At 600m above sea level, at the feet of Mt Ruapehu, the Ohakune Mardi Gras (OMG) is the biggest party of the kiwi winter and will celebrate 20-years’ on Saturday 27 June 2015 .

Since 1995 the Ohakune Mardi Gras , held at the famous ‘Junction’, the après-ski capital of Ohakune, has been established as the biggest winter street party of the season; kick-starting the beginning of winter with a no-holds-barred, dressed-up, music inspired, huge winter street party.

The OMG experience is a concoction of infectious live music - local and international, audience interaction, street entertainment, extreme thrill rides, special effects and a ‘high class’ fire and fireworks display.

This years’ lineup will include; Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet , DJ duo the Stafford Brothers , kiwi rapper Savage and ZM resident DJs Jupiter Project .

OMG2015 will be hosted by Guy and Georgia from the ZM Night Show !

In the past, OMG has showcased some of New Zealand’s best up-and-coming musical talents, including: Batucada Sound Machine (2004), Strike (2006), Kora, Concord Dawn (2007), The Checks (2008), Midnight Youth (2009), Dane Rumble (2010), Opshop (2011), I Am Giant, Mt Eden (2012), Please Please (2013), and Peking Duk (2014).
