Run out of ideas for amusement over Easter?
The weather forecast is looking good and there’s heaps on. Take the kids to Splash Planet for the last time this season. The theme park is open all Easter from 10am-5.30pm. After Monday, that’s it until next summer.
Clive Pool is also open 10am-3.30pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
For all you bike riders there’s The Big Easy ride on Easter Saturday starting at the Village Green in Havelock North Domain. It ends at Church Road Winery.
For the foodies, it’s the last night market for the season on Thursday - look out for X Factor contestants Archie Hill, Talitha Blake and Mia Shnge who are performing. On Sunday, there’s the usual farmers market at the A Showgrounds.
And for those who love a flutter on the horses, there’s the annual Golden Slipper Race Day on Saturday at the Hastings Racecourse. Entry is free.
If you’re a soccer fan you’ll be delighted that Hawke’s Bay United has made it into the nationals. You can wish them well at the Petane Domain in Eskview on Friday at 3pm before they head off to the ASB Premiership Grand Final.
