Youth Inspire, Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs, funded by The Todd Foundation
Philanthropist organisation The Todd Foundation has funded Youth Inspire Trust, the group running the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs in Wainuiomata, $200,000 over the next two years.
These funds will help support the Trust’s goals of helping young people in our local community find meaningful opportunities in employment, training and education.
This work aligns with The Todd Foundation’s vision of, ‘inclusive communities where all families, children and young people can thrive and contribute’.
Marcia Skinnon, Manager of the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs says, “This funding provides an enormous boost to Youth Inspire and to what we’re working hard to achieve for our community and the wider Lower Hutt region”.
There are now 110 young people registered with the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs in Wainuiomata. Of those, 88 have been placed into part-time and full-time employment (66), education (13) and training or work experience (9).
