Free Theatre Christchurch presents: Beat Generation Ubu Night
Don’t be a square. Join us for an Ubu Night which explores the countercultural world of The Beat Generation. In Christchurch's exciting new contemporary performance space, The Gym, the Free Theatre company will inhabit words, music and performances of angelheaded hipsters such as Kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs,
Cassidy, Kyger and Vollmer. As they weave their yarns and burn for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo, a hip concoction of Jazz and Frisco cuisine will be on offer.
Ubu Nights are a series of weekly entertainments (combining theatre, music, film and hospitality) that engage diverse communities in interactive and sensory experiences. Free Theatre is collaborating on these Ubu Nights with Christchurch artists from different disciplines. www.freetheatre.org.nz Beat Generation Ubu Night
