Mt Pleasant Road has reopened, retaining walls completed.
THIS WEEK/ NOW
Marlow Road, Aranui – one way towards Pages Road for a week from 6 March
SCIRT’s Fletcher crews installing the new vacuum wastewater tanks are short of room near the intersection of Pages Road and Marlow Road currently so need to make the road one-way for a week from Friday, 6 March.
THIS WEEKEND
Phillipstown - Ferry Road and Ensors/Aldwins Roads intersection
Sunday night, 8 March – no turning 6 pm to 7 am Monday 9 March
This Sunday night, from 6 pm, SCIRT’s Fletcher team will be doing preparatory hydro-excavation work on the storm water pipes in this busy intersection. Drivers will only be able to go straight through or left on either side, with no right hand turns as the middle of the intersection will be fenced off. Lanes will be reduced to just one in each direction.
More work with similar traffic restrictions will follow on Sunday, 15 March, also for just one night. Watch for electronic message boards confirming that date.

FROM MONDAY, 9 MARCH
Moorhouse Ave – Falsgrave St intersection closed, limited turns Fitzgerald Ave
SCIRT’s Downer team is working in the Moorhouse Ave/ Fitzgerald Ave/ Ferry Road intersection for ten days fromMonday 9 March on storm water repairs. There will be no entry to Falsgrave St to the south, the detour is Iverson Terrace. No turns onto Fitzgerald Ave from Ferry Road.

Waltham Road overbridge
In the week of 9 March, SCIRT’s Downer team will be repairing the kerb and surface affecting the northbound outer lane, followed by the southbound outer lane. This work may take ten days to complete, but it will be outside of peak traffic flows - 9am – 4pm.
• The next stage of this work will affect more drivers. Two inner lanes will be closed to complete repairs to the median barrier, for up to ten days. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/work/activity/6375
Linwood – new work Marlborough/ Havelock intersection
Storm water repair work will close this intersection from Tuesday, 10 March for one week. No through traffic from Marlborough St onto Havelock. The one-way traffic system heading westbound along Marlborough St will remain in place for a further week, but residents will need to exit Havelock via Cashel St.
NON SCIRT work on Dyers Pass Road, between Cashmere and Governors Bay
Monday, 9 March – Friday, 13 March, off peak hours road closure
Dyers Pass Road between Summit Road and Governors Bay Road will be CLOSED from 9am – 3.30pm for resealing, with openings to let traffic through at 11am and 1.15pm.

Maces Road, Bromley
The one-way along Maces Road is shifting to the Wickham St corner moving north. Northbound traffic only towards Cuthberts Road.

Delays for Banks Peninsula hill route, Governors Bay
Governors Bay and Banks Peninsula residents and people who use Dyers Pass Road should expect delays for up to six months while SCIRT’s Fletcher team repairs and rebuilds three retaining walls near the bottom of the hill.
• Traffic lights and traffic controllers using Stop/ Go signs will help ensure safe journeys up and down while the first 400 metres of road is narrowed to one lane.

Moorhouse eastbound pinch-point
Work to repair the Moorhouse overbridge at Colombo St involves an eastbound lane reduction for three months. The slip lane, at the side, also provides another route east. Thanks for slowing near the crew.
COMING UP in a week
Aranui’s Hampshire St closure Breezes Road end
SCIRT’s City Care team is planning on closing the Breezes Road end of Hampshire St (from Breezes Road to Aldershot St) to install the wastewater main pipe from Monday 16 March for about two weeks.
NB: The Metro bus detour for Pages Road while it is one-way is currently down Hampshire so that will be changed to Gosport St.
Colombo St/ Beckenham shops intersection change in a week
If you normally turn onto Somerfield or Strickland Streets off Colombo, be ready to take Boon St, closer to Sydenham Park/ Brougham St, from 16 March for two weeks. There will also be no entry to Somerfield St from Strickland.
