Half price at Wellington Zoo after school in March
Wellingtonians can enjoy the Zoo for half price every weekday after 3pm in March.
“We’re inviting our visitors to enjoy a beautiful autumn afternoon at Wellington Zoo for half the usual entry charge. It’s the perfect after-school treat,” said Karen Fifield, Chief Executive.
“Kids can work off energy by jumping on the trampoline in Neighbours, as well as getting up close and personal with our two friendly young Emu, Ellen and Georgia, who have just moved in.”
Visitors taking advantage of the half price deal will be able to catch the Penguin Talk at 3.30pm.
“Each afternoon keepers feed our hungry Little Blue Penguins their afternoon snack of fresh salmon. They often go for a dive to work it off afterwards, which is amazing to watch,” said Ms Fifield.
Young visitors can meet a variety of animals in Kamala’s Playground at 4pm, and ask Zoo vets questions as they treat native patients in The Nest Te Kōhanga.
Mojo café will be open for afternoon tea, and visitors are welcome to bring their own snacks.
Players from the Mojo Pulse will be at the Zoo signing posters on Thursday 5 March, from 3.30–4.30pm, who will no doubt be a hit with young netball fans.
“Keep an eye out for more special guests throughout the month!” added Ms Fifield.
