Online learning breakthrough in Hutt City

Online learning breakthrough in Hutt City

Hutt City Libraries is the first public library in New Zealand to offer unrestricted remote access to lynda.com – a world-renowned online tutorial service.

Hutt City Libraries members can now access over 5,000 online courses for free, anywhere, at any time.

Tutorials are delivered online by experts who are the best in their field, passionate about their subject matter and know how to teach.

Sandra Mann, Divisional Manager, Libraries says, “we are very proud that we are the first in New Zealand to offer this unrestricted service to our members.”

Topics are diverse – from building business relationships, Social Media for business, game design, sales tips for artists and bands to programmes like Dreamweaver, Photoshop and JavaScript.

People can pick and choose the elements they want to learn, or commit to a couple of hours of more in-depth learning.

Members can find out more at the Libraries website or access general information through Lynda.com.
