Classic luncheons and teas at Alberton

February 13

MEDIA RELEASE

Classic luncheons and teas at Alberton

A series of special dine-in experiences at one of Auckland’s favourite Heritage New Zealand destinations will take place again this year.

Alberton’s annual season of Classic Luncheons and Afternoon Teas is back by popular demand, and places for both sessions are filling up fast.

“Our quality Devonshire Teas and Classic Luncheons have always been a big hit – so much so that many people book early to secure their place,” says Rendell McIntosh, the Manager of the historic Mt Albert building which dates back to 1863.

“The good news is that we still have some vacancies for both, though people will need to book soon as we have limited seating to 50 people per session.”

Both the luncheons and tea parties will be served on English bone china on Alberton’s verandah – or inside the Ballroom if the weather is bad. Tasty treats on offer include freshly made sandwiches, scones, gingerbread and savouries.

Classic Luncheon sessions (12.30-2pm) and Devonshire Tea sessions (2.30-4pm) take place 27 February – 1 March; and 6-8 March. Luncheons cost $40 per person, and Teas $30 per person (gluten free options also available for both).

For more information, or to book, email alberton@heritage.org.nz or call Ph 846-7367 or purchase tickets through Eventfinder.
