All special votes have now been counted in Mayoral By-election

The Mayoral by-election result has now been confirmed with the counting of all special votes complete.

Electoral Officer, Dr John Annabell confirmed today that Grant Smith has been elected as the City’s new Mayor.

The formal announcement will be published in the Manawatu Standard on Friday 13 February 2015 and the new Mayor will be sworn into Office at an Extraordinary Council meeting to be held on Monday 16 February at 9.00am in the Council Chambers. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
