Motorcycle rider injured at Mihi bridge

The Taupo Based Greenlea Rescue helicopter was dispatched to MIhi Bridge SH5 north of Taupo last evening to a crash involving a Motorcycle rider and a car.

The motorcycle rider was side swiped by the car resulting in a serious injury to the mans lower leg.

The 60 year old man was flown to Waikato Hospital due to the time critical nature of his injury
