Westpac is doing its bit to create a brighter Christmas this year with a unique donation-activated interactive Christmas tree that lights up in support of the For Everyone Charitable Foundation.
Inspired by the season’s spirit of giving, the Westpac Giving Tree is powered by public donations and brings a brand new magical experience for the whole family to enjoy in the days leading up to Christmas.
The eight-metre high tree is festooned with lights and every time someone makes a donation a special light and sound experience plays as a thank you.
Located on Takutai Square, Britomart, the Westpac Giving Tree will be surrounded by six four-metre high moving trees. A soundscape will change throughout the day, allowing for a fully immersed walk-through experience.
Aucklanders are invited to experience the Westpac Giving Tree, free, from Friday 12 until Sunday 21 December.
So bundle up the kids or a special someone, and embrace the spirit of giving as you add your light to the tree and enjoy a dazzling festive experience this Christmas.
For those who can’t make it in person, a 24hour webcam inside one of the revolving trees will stream the Westpac Giving Tree experience online. By donating online, viewers can go for a spin inside!
