SummerTimes booklet released
SummerTimes booklet released
SummerTimes is back, this time with a new-look brochure which Christchurch homes will receive this weekend.
Residents are encouraged to check their letterboxes for the brightly-coloured brochure.
The SummerTimes brochure includes information about all the city's favourite events such as New Year's Eve, Streets Kite Day, Streets Children's Day, Sparks, Anthony Harper Summer Theatre and Ingham Lazy Sundays.
Christchurch City Council Events Production Team Manager, Chloë Dear says the 2015 brochure has fewer pages and is printed on non-glossy paper. A new logo and golden hues are features of the brochure cover.
"We changed it because we wanted to refresh our SummerTimes marketing and be kinder to the environment," Dear says.
The brochure will also be available at Christchurch City Council service centres, recreation centres, libraries and various other locations around Christchurch from 8 December.
"We encourage Christchurch residents to grab a few extra copies to give to families, friends and visitors to the city so they can enjoy these events too," Dear says.
Bus routes are listed for each event and Mayor Lianne Dalziel, in her letter at the start of the brochure, encourages people to use public transport to foster community spirit.
Information about farewelling the Godwits (Kuaka), Sunday Bandstand and other events around the city can be found on the SummerTimes website www.summertimes.co.nz.
