Hutt City Christmas set to be a cracker
Hutt City Christmas set to be a cracker
The street flags are out, the posters are posted and we’re set to put the trees up for Hutt City’s cracker Christmas season.
This year Christmas in the Hutt returns; it’s the region’s biggest Christmas event and features over 300 performers along with carols, rides, food stalls, Santa and fireworks.
Our communities in Petone, Normandale, Stokes Valley and Wainuiomata each run Christmas parades to celebrate the season too.
Mayor Ray Wallace
says, “Christmas in Hutt City is a fantastic time with
events and activities happening in many of our communities.
“The Hutt is a great place to be in summer, with our beautiful forests, river and beaches, as well as plenty of community activities. We are an inclusive community, and so we know it’s important to keep many of our activities free or low cost to give people the opportunity to join in and enjoy the festive season in the Hutt.”
All our
events including our four Christmas parades can be found
online athuttcity.govt.nz/events and our
eight Hutt City Libraries have internet access for those who
don’t have it at home.
