International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People
We encourage you to join us at the following event held to raise awareness of and celebrate Palestinian culture:
Experience the unique culture of the Palestinian people with an afternoon of art, music, poetry and delicious food.
Photos from Palestine will be exhibited along with the screening of short films.
In 1977 the United Nations General Assembly declared November 29th the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinians.
On the same day in 1947 the General Assembly voted to partition Palestine, sowing the seeds of future conflict.
The Palestinians have kept alive their thriving culture through decades of occupation, dispossession and dispersal; join us in celebrating their tenacity, passion and defiance.
All are welcome.
