Central Otago Libraries reopen their doors

Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes Libraries reopen their doors

Libraries across the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago Districts are open as usual after a temporary closure this week.

The closure allowed for a major upgrade to the libraries computer systems which would see huge benefits to library users.

QLDC General Manager Operations Ruth Stokes said the new Kotui System would give library users better access to resources. “Borrowers will be able to search for physical and electronic resources at a click of a button from home, school, work or on their smartphone, as well as inside their library.”

“We’d like to thank all of our borrowers for their patience while we closed our doors for a couple of days. We hope everyone will see the benefits of our system upgrade very soon,” she said.

Library hours can be found on the joint libraries website http://libraries.codc-qldc.govt.nz/
