Wednesday 19 November 2014

Statement from Mayor regarding appointment of CERA Acting Chief Executive

Mayor Lianne Dalziel has welcomed the appointment of John Ombler as Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) Acting Chief Executive.

She says today’s appointment means the city’s rebuild can continue without losing any momentum.

The Mayor says Mr Ombler is an experienced leader and his previous involvement with CERA following the earthquakes means he can hit the ground running.

“I look forward to working alongside Mr Ombler to ensure the strong relationship between the Council and CERA continues.”
