Catch the Bus to the Zoo this November
Throughout November Wellington Zoo is bringing back it’s popular ‘Catch the Bus to the Zoo’ promotion, and rewarding visitors who take a Go Wellington bus to the Zoo with half price entry.
Amy Hughes, Wellington Zoo’s General Manager Community Engagement, says “Conservation and sustainability are the heart of everything we do at Wellington Zoo. Taking public transport is an easy way for our visitors to have a positive impact on the local environment – and we’re rewarding them with half-price admission to the Zoo.”
“We have a great relationship with Go Wellington, they support The Wellington Warehouse Zoofari helping students from low-decile schools come to Wellington Zoo for special learning sessions. It is a great way to help connect our community with their Zoo. We’re happy to be working with them again to encourage even more of our visitors to come to the Zoo on the bus,” says Ms Hughes.
NZ Bus CEO Zane Fulljames says, “Our role is to connect our communities, that can mean taking a trip somewhere or working in partnership with other organisations to connect the public with our city’s sights and activities.”
Visitors to the Zoo can catch the number 10 or 23 buses from the city with bus stops right outside the front of the Zoo.
