Sumner/ Redcliffs drivers – Ferry Road, south of roundabout Dyers Road, towards town only Saturday, 1 November

Ferry Road will be detoured from the Dyers Road roundabout to the Ferrymead shops tomorrow, Saturday 1 November.

SCIRT’s City Care team will be starting wastewater work on Ferry Road at the Charlesworth St intersection. Ferry Road will be one way westbound (towards town) from Waterman Place to the Dyers Road roundabout between6am and 6pm.

Getting to Sumner and the Ferrymead shops
Drivers travelling eastbound to Sumner and the Ferrymead shops/ bars will be detoured via Dyers Road and Humphreys Drive – follow the signage. Waterman Place will be open.

Charlesworth Street one way
Charlesworth Street will become one way southbound (towards Ferry Road).
Brookhaven residents, including those on Charlesworth St and Olds Place, please travel via Dyers Road/Ti Rakau Drive entrance/exit.

Night works
The City Care team will continue to work in the area for around seven nights between 6pm and 6am.

From 6pm, Sunday 2 November, stop/go signs will be installed at the Ferry Road and Charlesworth St intersection.

From 6am each morning, the work site will be covered with a metal plate so it can be driven over during the day.

The one way system on Charlesworth St heading towards Ferry Road will remain in place.
