New traffic management – this weekend 18 and 19 October
Addington – major intersection work
Lincoln Rd/Whiteleigh Ave/Barrington St (western edge Lincoln Road shops) 7am - 6pm
• Lane reductions on Lincoln Road city-bound before the intersection.
• Lane reductions on Whiteleigh Ave from Jack Hinton Drive (road to Addington Raceway) to Lincoln Road.
• There are likely to be delays, so avoid Lincoln Road city-bound if you can.

Horotane Valley Overpass/ Lyttelton Tunnel drivers – night work this weekend
Night work this weekend- Saturday, 18 October and Sunday, 19 October. Posts and barriers will be installed along the overpass. Traffic diversions will be in place and this may result in minor traffic delays - 7.00 pm to 6.00 am.
NON SCIRT WORK/ building rebuild work VICTORIA ST
Victoria St, between Montreal St and Bealey Ave, will be northbound only ie towards Bealey Ave for the weekend, 18 and 19 October.
New traffic management
Shirley Road/ Warrington St at Hills Road – ongoing roading work, new sites
Drivers may have another week or more of delays in this busy corner, travelling towards The Palms, where lanes are restricted due to the size/ swing of machinery needed. New work Addington, access to Court Theatre from Clarence St South not Bernard St
Signage is directing people onto Clarence St South to get to Court Theatre for the next five weeks with repairs on Walsall St.

Worcester St (has been closed for the past week Cathedral Square to Manchester)
The Worcester St/ Manchester intersection is being asphalted today (17 October), aiming to open up for weekend.
Hereford St
Hereford St will be one way westbound, from Manchester to Colombo, for a week from Monday 20 October.
Gloucester St
Between Manchester and Colombo, a month of shallower pipe work (storm water, fresh water) and roading in time for Isaac Theatre Royal opening 17 November. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/work/activity/5781
Kilmore/Colombo intersection near Town Hall
For six weeks, Colombo St will be one way northbound only at the intersection due to roading renewal. Work also happening at night.
Peterborough St
Peterborough St will be one way eastbound for one week. A week later, Monday 27 October, two-way will be restored but access only via Madras St.
Moorhouse Ave intersection restrictions Durham and Montreal
While work on the south side of Moorhouse Ave will be finished, work at the Montreal and Durham intersections will restrict lanes for two days each in the week of 20 October. Watch for signs.
St Asaph St at Montreal intersection
Restrictions at this intersection, drivers crossing town via St Asaph may have delays. There will be a lane drop on St Asaph St also during the week.

Moorhouse Ave, between Colombo and Antigua Streets
The left/ westbound lane is down on Moorhouse Ave between Colombo and Antigua.
Bealey Ave – lane drop for west bound traffic
SCIRT’s Fletcher team is renewing the fresh water pipes on Bealey Ave from Churchill to Barbadoes and from Madras to Manchester this month. Addington / Middleton / Tower Junction – a year of work has started Whiteleigh Ave

Linwood/ Charleston - Ensors/ Aldwins Road
Expect delays due to a reduction to just one lane travelling north from the Ensors Road/ Ferry Road intersection onto Aldwins Road past Linwood College. Work will move in segments to Harrow St, the traffic lights past Linwood College, between now and the end of the year. The road itself, kerb, channel and footpath will be repaired. Mt Pleasant/ St Andrews Hill intersection closures with Main Road, to end of October
Residents of Te Awakura Tce, The Brae, Rangatira Tce, Quarry Road, Seamount Tce and 4-39 Mt Pleasant Road will need to use St Andrews Hill Road to get to and from home.

Wainoni/ Aranui - Wainoni road – several areas of work
• Areas of the road, kerb and channel and footpath on Wainoni Road between Breezes Road and 175 Wainoni Road are being repaired. Two-way traffic remains around the work-site.
• Between Ottawa Road and Cuffs Road, areas of road, kerb and channel and footpath are being repaired. Two-way traffic continues.
• Wainoni Road, between Bickerton St and Ottawa Road, has been chip sealed and later will be asphalted.
Aranui – one-way traffic systems, several streets
• Carters Road, has been one-way towards Breezes Road, going two way from today/ 17 October. From 27 October, the one-way will be back in place for three weeks of directional drilling. http://strongerchristchurch.govt.nz/work/activity/5774

• Guernsey St, one-way southbound from Rowses Road towards St Heliers Crescent.
• St Heliers Crescent, one-way system.

Aranui/ Wainoni – working ending/ intersection reopening Pages and Breezes Roads
While the vacuum work in this intersection has ended, Breezes Road is still one-way northbound between Rowses and Pages Roads into December.

Ferrymead - Humphreys Drive/ Ferry Road – night work, detour
The team working on roading along Humphreys Drive to Ferrymead bridge will be moving onto Ferry Road on Sunday, 19 October.
• Ferry Road will be closed 7 pm to 6 am, Dyers Road roundabout to Humphreys Drive.
• Outside these hours, Ferry Road will be back to two-way traffic.
Bromley update – Wickham, Francella, Dyers
• Eastbound lane closure for lift station installation outside 61 Wickham St, Bromley, for about two months.
• Open trenching on Francella St means there is a road closure between 39 Francella and Dyers Road for three more weeks.
Bromley, Maces Road - wastewater work
• The lift station installation outside 200 Maces Road has begun with traffic lights in place to direct vehicles around the work site. This will take about two months to complete.
Work coming up Wainoni – detour
SCIRT’s McConnell Dowell team will be working in the Kerrs Road/ Woodham Road rondabout intersection in coming days. Kerrs Road/ Wainoni Road will be one-way heading north between Woodham Road and Ottawa Road. Motorists will be detoured down Breezes Road or Ottawa Road. More information coming.
GOOD NEWS – new parking spot Mt Pleasant near Farmers Market/ community centre
New parking area completed on the city side of Main Road/McCormacks Bay Road new intersection. Good for the weekend Farmers Market, carpoolers and people shopping on Soleares Ave.
