Christchurch’s property management stars
Press Release: Harcourts
10 October 2014
Harcourts’ property managers within Christchurch are officially among the best in the country.
Their outstanding customer service was recently recognised by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. Harcourts scooped five out of 15 REINZ Awards for Excellence in Residential Property Management, with the Christchurch team winning three of the major awards:
Award for Excellence in Residential Property Management Agency of the Year – Harcourts Grenadier Accommodation Centre
Property Manager of the Year – Tracey Edwards, Harcourts Grenadier Accommodation Centre (third place)
Business Development Manager of the Year – Jo Arbuckle, Harcourts Holmwood Property Management (second place).
Harcourts Grenadier Accommodation Centre principal Patricia Bowden says the team is proud to have been named Agency of the Year, and she puts it down to the systems and checks they have in place, including zero tolerance of rent arrears and vacancy rates.
“We are focused on taking care of our clients. Property management is about managing the relationships between the people who own the asset and the people who live in the homes. We have both property managers and tenancy managers and we set regular KPIs to ensure we are delivering the best customer experience and monitor this constantly,” Patricia says.
This is the first time the Harcourts Grenadier Accommodation Centre has entered the REINZ awards, and Patricia says they will do so again because it’s rewarding for the team to be recognised for all their hard work.
Tracey Edwards currently manages around 250 of the 1,300 managed by Grenadier Accommodation Centre.
She says over the years she has built up strong relationships with her clients and they trust her to do the right thing when managing their properties.
“The job can be overwhelming, but it’s all about having good time management and organisation skills. We have a great team at Grenadier Accommodation Centre and we all support each other.”
Harcourts’ head of property management Carol Benny says the three awards show Harcourts is the place to come when looking to have your property managed in Christchurch.
“We are really proud of the team and this is wonderful recognition of a region committed to their clients.”
