Waikato District Council investigating serious dog attack
Waikato District Council is investigating a serious dog attack after Animal Control officers were called to a Waiuku property around midnight last night (Tuesday 30 September).
The incident involved one of two dogs at the property, a male Mastiff, which has allegedly attacked a 13 year old girl residing at the address. As a result, the victim has sustained serious facial and cranial puncture wounds and was undergoing surgery this morning.
Only one of the dogs was involved in the incident however both have been impounded pending further investigation into the incident by Council staff.
