ANZ to host second Asian Migrant Expo
A range of organisations and services to help Asian migrants settle in New Zealand will be together under one roof during the second ANZ Asian Migrant Expo on 11 October.
More than 80 exhibitors, including Government Departments, Consulates, ethnic community groups, law firms, media and business owners, will be available at the Expo to provide their service and host workshops and seminars.
“For new migrants, there are many challenges settling in a new country,” said Eric Chuah, Head of International and Migrant Banking at ANZ NZ.
“As the biggest bank in New Zealand, we understand how connecting migrants to the right people and services can make establishing themselves in New Zealand easier.
“We organised the first Expo last year after feedback from migrants who were unfamiliar with New Zealand, and unsure of what services were available and where to find them.
“The idea is to get as many important services together in one place so migrants can get their lives in New Zealand off to the best possible start.”
As the biggest bank in New Zealand, ANZ have a dedicated Asian team providing great service with a range of products designed to meet the unique needs of migrant customers.
With ANZ’s parent company having a presence in 32 markets around the world, together with ANZ NZ it enables migrant customers to open a new ANZ account and have their financial affairs in order before moving to New Zealand.
“ANZ welcomes new migrants, settled migrants, or anyone who would like to connect with migrants to attend this free expo,” said Mr Chuah. “They will have the opportunity to meet new people, get all the useful information and enter a competition prize draw.”
ANZ Asian Migrant Expo - Saturday, 11 Oct 2014, 10am - 2pm, Level 5, New Zealand Room 1 & 2, Skycity Auckland Convention Centre, 88 Federal Street, Auckland City. Admission is free.
