Motor vehicle crash on SH1 at Waikuku

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a vehicle crash on SH1 outside the Waikuku Z Service Station involving 3 vehicles.
One person is in a critical condition. Police are unable to confirm how many other people are injured at this early stage.
SH1 is currently closed in both directions at Waikuku and diversions will be in place for the next few hours.
Police urge the public to allow extra time on their commute home and where possible stay away from the area.
A further update will be posted later this afternoon
