The Great Animal Walk
AUCKLAND - Queen Street will once again feel the pitter-patter of feet, paws and hooves during the SPCA Great Animal Walk on Sunday 5th October. Kicking off at 11:30am Queen Elizabeth Square, this year speakers will highlight the plight of endangered species, from our own Maui’s dolphin to the globally iconic elephant, rhino and lion. Joining thousands of people in over 120 cities across the globe in the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos, the Auckland and Wellington events aim to raise awareness of the continuing illegal trade in ivory, rhino horn and lion bones.
