Permanent closure of part of Pah Road, Western Bay of Plenty
A section of Pah Road, north of Te Puke, will be permanently closed to traffic and another stretch realigned this month, as the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) project continues.
The NZ Transport Agency says the permanent closure will take effect from 8am on Tuesday September 30.
The changes mean traffic will no longer be able to access Kaituna Road and the Kaituna Wetlands through Pah Road.
From that date access to the Kaituna Wetlands will be via Maketu Road, Te Tumu Road and Kaituna Road.
The work to close the section of road is weather dependent and may be postponed if it is too wet.
For more information on the TEL go to www.nzta.govt.nz/projects/tel/ or head to the TEL visitor information centre, 65 Tara Road Papamoa.
