Kairua Road in Papamoa closed to traffic for two weeks
Kairua Road, in Papamoa, will be closed for two weeks from 6am tomorrow morning (Saturday September 20), as work on the Tauranga Eastern Link project continues.
The NZ Transport Agency says the closure is to allow for the complete reconstruction of a section of Kairua Road.
A detour via State Highway 2 (SH2) and Welcome Bay Road will be in place during the road closure. The works are weather dependent.
The access to the SH2 and Kairua Road intersection became a permanent left-in, left-out earlier this year.
The Transport Agency thanks drivers for their patience and understanding while these necessary works are carried out.
