Dunedin Fringe Hui & Registrations Open

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 17 September 2014

NEW DIRECTOR TO HOST FRINGE HUI, REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN

The Dunedin Fringe Festival will host a Dunedin Fringe Hui on Thursday 2 October. The event will give artists and others from the community an opportunity to meet the new director, Josh Thomas, and have an informal discussion around their aspirations for the Festival. Although no major changes were planned for 2015, Mr Thomas said he wanted to get feedback and input from the community as soon as possible.

“It’s important for me to gain knowledge and perspective from those who have participated in the past, and would like to contribute in the future,” he said. “It’s the expertise and talent of our artists and producers that drive the success of each Festival, so I want to listen to what they want for the future of Dunedin Fringe”.

Registrations and applications for funding support for the 2015 Festival have now
opened. Questions around registration, funding and venues would also be answered at the hui. Funding applications are due 13 October and registrations close 31 October.
