Suspicious package outside Christchurch Building

Suspicious package outside Christchurch Ministry of Education building

At 9.15am today Police received information relating to a suspicious package left outside the front door of the Ministry of Education building on Princess Street in Christchurch.
The building was evacuated and a cordon put in place.
Army bomb disposal experts have attended the scene and after a thorough investigation have determined that the package was no longer a threat.
At 11am Police allowed staff to re-enter the building and removed the cordon.
