Theft of rare Nissan Skyline.
Police in Whangärei are investigating a burglary involving the theft of a rare Nissan Skyline racing car, valued at approximately $60,000.
The burglary occurred at a rural address, West of Whangärei sometime between 1 - 7 September 2014.
Stolen vehicle:
1986 Nissan Skyline GTSR
Colour: Blue
2.4 litre engine
The car has an Australian registration plate: 244LLL
Identifying Features: White wheels, very rare vehicle, possibly the only one of its' type in NZ, rear quarter windows have the names "WENDY THOMAS" AND "LEW THOMAS" written in black, roll cage in the vehicle, racing seats, no back seat.
This is very rare Nissan Skyline car, only 700 were manufactured.
We ask anyone who has information about this crime, or anyone who has seen the car to contact the Whangärei Police on 09 430 4500.
