Hamilton Police have attended a business in Victoria Street Hamilton after a member of the public reported seeing a person with a pistol.
Cordons were established in the vicinity, and a short time later Police observed the male leaving the building. He was subsequently spoken to and an imitation pistol was located.
Police are now speaking to this person at the Hamilton Police Station.
