Mr Rental Hawkes Bay pledges support to Maraenui Motivators
Mr Rental Hawkes Bay has pledged its support to the Maraenui Motivators, an organisation committed to combatting
community issues of social divide, through health and fitness.
Led by franchisee Di Bannister, the store helps out the community group by donating fitness equipment for weekly circuit
training.
The aim of the training sessions is to unite members though building relationships and opening up communication
channels.
“Mr Rental Hawkes Bay is committed to supporting the community that supports them. This can be done through the donation
of equipment, and the Maraenui Motivators has been an excellent group to work with,” Ms Bannister said.
“The not for profit group seeks to unite the many subcultures within the community to promote respect and understanding
so that progress can be made on social issues.
“Mr Rental Hawkes Bay has provided fitness equipment the group would otherwise not have been able to afford and will
also be supporting the regular Maraenui Motivator fundraising barbeques by supplying food.”
The equipment will be used at the Maraenui Sports and Recreation Club and Ms Bannister said she looked forward to seeing
her donation make a difference in the community.
“We are very excited to be involved in this ongoing initiative as it is very much about the community taking ownership
and resolving these issues themselves – all we are doing is supplying some of the tools,” she said.
