Telephone threat to WINZ office
Blenheim Police are working to locate a man who made a telephone call to Work and Income staff this morning and threatened to come to the Blenheim office with a firearm.
Police are taking the threat seriously and have placed armed officers at the doors of the Alfred St building. Work and Income staff at the office have remained inside the building.
Armed Offenders Squad members have been deployed from Nelson and Blenheim to assist with identifying and locating the caller.
