Help Keep Hutt City Beautiful – 14-21 September

Imagine a city where we all care about and actively work to restore, enhance and protect our environment. That’s the vision for Keep New Zealand Beautiful week and many locals are getting on board to help make this happen in Hutt City.

Hutt City Council and Keep Hutt City Beautiful are managing a variety of clean-up activities across the city. You can take part in groups or as individuals and even register your own clean-up project.

The public are invited to take part in any of the following activities where you can just turn up on the day:

o Petone Beach clean-up: Sunday 14 September, 10am. Meet the team from Dive and Ski HQ at Petone Wharf car park. (In the event of bad weather it will be postponed until Sunday 21 September, 10am).

o Hutt Riverbank clean-up: Sunday 21 September, 1pm. Meet at Lower Hutt Riverbank car park, northern end.

o Hugh Sinclair Park, Wainuiomata clean-up: Sunday 14 September 2pm - 4pm.
Join volunteers from The Warehouse and meet at The Strand.

So far 16 schools in Lower Hutt have already registered along with nine other groups.
