Wellington, Your Secret Ubers Are Here!
POSTED BY AJ TILLS
They say you can’t beat Wellington (on a good day). Well, today’s a good day!
Whether you’re a Uni student braving a breezy dash to a late lecture, a weekend athlete jogging back from training, or a businessperson mounting a trek to the summit after another failed cab hail; we’ve all experienced the less than ideal Wellington travel conditions.
Two of the city’s favourite sons, Conrad Smith and Cory Jane, needed a lift to a gym sesh. They opened the Uber app, pushed a button, and quicker than you can say “51-20 #aussiesgohome” Mike had pulled up in his Merc E-500 to take them where they needed to go. With that, they became @Uber_Wellington‘s #riderzero!
Over the next few weeks, Uber Wellington will be in secret test mode. That means supply will be extremely limited, but we need your feedback! If you’re one of the lucky few that’s able to grab an Uber, it will be FREE! That’s right, FREE. Try us out and let us know what you think by leaving feedback via the app, so we can improve Uber in Wellington.
You can chat with us at supportwellington@uber.com or send us a tweet/instagram @Uber_Wellington. This is limited to 2 rides per week, metro area only, until 21/9/14.
uberX means easy. No credit card fees, no fumbling with cash, emailed receipts and a system that gets better every time you leave feedback. Better, faster, and cheaper, that’s the uberX experience, and now it’s here!
Try it out by:
•Downloading the Uber App to your iPhone, Android or Windows device.
•Checking ETAs and dropping the pin where you are.
•Watch your driver come towards you, let them open your door, and then sit back and enjoy the ride!
Happy riding Wellington!
