Update for fatal Titahi Bay house fire

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact order of events leading up to the fire which occurred early on Sunday morning in Dimock Street, Titahi Bay. A post-mortem was completed last night and Police are considering these results.
Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ferguson says "At this stage, further investigation is required. A full scene examination has been completed and has been able to confirm that the fire started inside the house. The focus of our investigation remains on building a full picture of the circumstances surrounding the fire."
Police have met with the family of Kamira Rangimoeakau this afternoon to update them on the progress of the investigation and they continue to ask for privacy at this time.
