Victim of fatal fire in Wanaka named
Police can now release the name of the person who died in the fire that destroyed a sleep-out in Albertown, Wanaka, in the early hours of Thursday, 21st August 2014.
He was;
Bruce James COCHRAN, a single man, aged 53 of Wanaka. A ski industry worker.
Detective Sergeant Derek Shaw of the Central Otago CIB said, “Examination at the scene of yesterday’s fire is progressing well. A post mortem examination will be conducted on the victim in Dunedin this afternoon and those results will assist with the direction of the inquiry”.
