Police are seeking witnesses to a single vehicle fatal crash that had
occurred at about 01:30, on State Highway 56, Longburn, Manawatu District.
It appears a white Mitsubishi Chariot station wagon had been travelling north
on state 56 when it lost control and collided into a ditch, just south of
Longburn, near the intersection with Works Road.
Two adult passengers have died and four other occupants were taken to
Palmerston North Hospital for treatment.
Two of the injured remain in critical condition.
Police are requesting any witnesses to phone Acting Detective Sergeant Ross,
at Palmerston North Police, on 06 351 3600.
