Jaycee Trust Travelling Fellowship Scheme extends deadline
Palmerston North Jaycee Trust would like to inform residents that applications for the Jaycee Trust Travelling Fellowship have been extended to 29 September 2014.
The Scheme will enable two young people under the age of 40 to undertake special projects of study beyond New Zealand.
The Scheme aims to provide opportunities for young people who would not otherwise have the means to further their study by travelling overseas.
Trust administrator Priscilla Jeffrey says previous recipients have used the Travelling Fellowship Award towards attending international conferences.
“Recipients have used the Award to undertake research with other specialists and to undertake voluntary work in areas of interest enabling them to further their knowledge base and skills.”
Two successful applicants will each receive funding of up to $5,000. The funding will enable them to make a valuable contribution to their trade, industry, profession or community.
