The Committee recommended that the Council approve a Heritage Incentive Grant of up to $104,119 for conservation and maintenance on the protected heritage building at 25 Armagh Street, site of the Cranmer Bridge Club since the 1960s. The grant would be subject to a 20-year limited conservation covenant.

Central City Landmark Heritage Grant – Victoria Mansions Building 91 Victoria Street
The Committee recommended that the Council approve a grant of up to $900,000 to repair and upgrade the Victoria Mansions Building, subject to a Full Conservation Covenant between the owners and the Council. Central City Landmark Heritage Grant – St Michael’s School Stone Classroom Block 243 Durham Street
The Committee decided to let this proposed grant of $755,000 lie on the table until its meeting in September 2014, pending discussions with the owners, Church Property Trustees, about their overall approach to heritage buildings.

Exchange Christchurch Trust grant
The Committee recommended that the Council approve a Creative Industries Support Fund grant of $96,500 to the Exchange Christchurch Trust to set up a facility for creative industries. The Council launched the Fund in 2012/13 to help keep the city’s creative talent during the recovery and rebuild of the Central City.
