'A Vinyl Affair' - Wellington's newest record fair.
'A Vinyl Affair' is happening next month! It's been over a year since the last record fair in Wellington and with the
vinyl revival in full swing and continuing to build momentum, there is a good buzz building around the event. With FREE
ENTRY to the public, DJs spinning vinyl all afternoon, spot prizes, not to mention the chance to dig through the crates
for the special gem of a record - this will be a great afternoon for music enthusiasts.
Venue and date
The event will be held at the Southern Cross, 39 Abel Tasman St, Wellington on Saturday August 23rd from 12pm - 4pm. The
fair will be held in the 'guest room' which is a nice bright and spacious area just off the main bar. The event is free
of charge to the public.
Sponsors, spot prizes and DJs
We are grateful for the support of the Southern Cross, who will be donating a $50 voucher as a spot prize. Local record
stores Death Ray records, Rough Peel Music, Slow Boat records and Vanishing Point are all donating vouchers as spot
prizes.
Local music critic Simon Sweetman (of 'Blog on the Tracks' fame) will be DJing on the day, with more DJs to be
announced. Silent Designs and Super Colour print have generous donated their respective design and print services to the
event!
